Alan Johnson visits Nottingham

Labour’s Home Secretary joins Labour’s PPC for Nottingham South, Lilian Greenwood, for a members’ Q&A session.

Whilst in Nottingham to launch Building Britain’s Future, the Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP, Labour’s Home Secretary, joined Nottingham South’s PPC, Lilian Greenwood for a question and answer session with local party members.

The questions asked ranged from immigration, Trident and restorative justice to workers’ rights and tackling knife crime.

Lilian, who chaired the meeting, said: “It was wonderful to have Alan here in Nottingham today to talk about how we are going to Build Britain’s Future by making our society fairer, stronger and more prosperous for everyone.

“Local members raised a wide range of issues with Alan. He took the time to listen to everyone’s point of view and to answer their questions.”
